City of dreams

Blue moonlight across still calm waters,
A silent wind blows an eternal whisper
Ancient pillars and empty halls,
A place forgotten in distant lore
He sits alone in a city of dreams,
Singing to himself his endless hymn
Where dreams have lived and now they die,
Yet he believes still the undying lie
The city of dreams at the birth of dawn,
A promise unkept for a time too long
The city of dreams under the twilight of stars,
To hold the dream of a vision as far
The city is denied the mercy of time,
Time that flows and leaves all behind
Fallen pillars and empty halls,
A city of dreams that exist no more
Yet he lives and so he dreams,
The city lives still within his lonely hymn

The city of dreams

haiz no inspiration la, my problem is tt i like to write stuff which has strong links wif events i went thru or feelings i have. I find it hard not to include the Actual in the Ideal. currently im in a phase of my life which im not facing any drama like Sadness or Love, so writer's block on my writer's blog..

But im fine la, im content wif reading ya blog n others' :)
