Maple leaf and stars
For the little maple leaf;>
In the little garden with little toadstools,
Where faeries flutter in threes and twos
A maple leaf grows under watchful stars,
Dreaming of days and places far
A little island with sun all day,
The maple leaf finds, its place to stay
Away from the garden of childhood days,
A new life, new friends, a whole new place
Maple leaf, maple leaf in a place so far,
Far away from home, a trifle lonesome thus
Fear not maple leaf though home is far,
For you have me, and you have the stars
The star and leaf
