the journey of the leprechaun
A leprechaun watches with lust the stars in the night,
Following and wandering with their elusive little light
Stumbling upon a secret garden led by the stars,
A final stop he has reached and he has traveled so far
For a night that seems like eternity he has followed the distant glitter,
The path forward ends within the garden so secret and little
The world so vast contains this place so secluded,
Led by the stars he has traveled and yet he has been deluded
Stars in the night are distant and far,
Yet he has followed with wanting and lust
Stars in the night guide but they are not for wanting,
Where star fire will burn in palms that are holding
In bitterness and grief the leprechaun falls in slumber,
As with dawn breaking the stars cease to glitter
Yet where stars fade a gem in the garden shines,
With unspeakable brilliance and a beauty so divine
Stars have faded and yet he does not grief,
The garden so little yet a sigh he does heave
The brightest gem is found in a garden he has stumbled,
Daylight reigns with eternal night ended
The journey of the leprechaun
The journey of the leprechaun

lionel will tell u that a poet does not reveal his poem's real meaning cos he constructed a puzzle n he does not want to unravel it;>
leprechaun reveals to a fantasy story character who spends his time in a garden playing...an innocent creature though quite ugly..some stories depict it as evil but i believe it is innocent;>
quite a nice poem, again much like ya other poems, it conjures a flavorful image or realm. its a bit longwinded however. nonetheless nice one :)
