life is a race for the dawn with the waves...
Life is a race for the dawn with the waves,
Along a seashore with merciless haste…
He runs along a seashore amidst the rising dawn,
As the rising tide runs towards the unfolding rays
He runs along the seashore ever so long,
Running through the night in search of the day
He runs in a race with the encroaching waters,
His footprints precariously before the rising waves
To leave his footprints he runs ever the faster,
Keeping a step ahead with desperate haste
He fears the waves that obliterates his traces,
Yet he fears the dark night that covers his sight
So he races the waves with his fastest mortal paces,
Running towards the east to search for first light
Where the unfolding light has shone upon him,
And yet behind him the waves erase his traces
He stands naked then in judgment of his sin,
In searing light the divine he dare not faces
Where the unfolding light has reached where he stood,
And the waves have yet to obliterate his traces
Released then he is from sin and falsehood,
Redeemed by the covenant of holy graces
Life is a race along the seashore with the waves
Life is a race along the seashore with the waves

hmm i dunno.. feels like there's too many things in tis poem. n the tone feels a bit inconsistent, it seems to be naturalistic n new-age-fantasy at first n then it has a shift in mood n became religious. nevertheless, it never fails to impress me the ease wif which u churn out imageries n words to describe them.
ya...well....i didnt think bout all tt.....but it is a religious poem...my view on redemption and damnation....footsteps can be a parallel to faith, which is ever being encroached by the waves of the world
thanks;>
