sex, smoke and beer

Silence torrid through flickering glass
Vestibule to heart passing by sin and lust
Pain and ecstasy frozen yet moving
As blood hot quickens in coursing hardening

A drink from metal as smoke exhaled
A life in tatters with lies inhaled
Night to dark day to comforting night
Sex, smoke and beer our redemption and might

Sex, smoke and beer
